Available for Adoption

The following horses are current available for adoption through ERAF.

Logan
is an 18 month old hackney gelding.  He will mature to approximately 13 hands tall.  He came to ERAF from the South Florida SPCA from a suspected slaughter house.  He knows how to be led and has learned to be polite with people.  He will make a great pony for someone and now participates in our barn tours.

Louie
is a bay 23 year old standardbred gelding, approximately 15.3 hands tall.  He was surrendered to ERAF by his owners who could no longer care for him. He loves to be groomed and hand walked.  He has a degenerative disease in his stifles and can no longer be ridden, but would make a good companion horse.

Cliff
is a 20 year old Hanovarian/Appaloosa cross gelding, 18 hands tall.  He is a former jumper and has dressage training.  He loves to be the center of attention.  He was surrendered to ERAF by his owner who could no longer care for him.

Heather is a 12 year old thoroughbred mare, 16 hands tall.  She has shown as both a 3-day event horse and as a hunter.  Her owners turned her over to ERAF after they found they could no longer care for her.

Duke is a 20 year bay gelding, about 15.2 hands tall.  He came in through Martin County Animal Care & Control with a body score of 2 (very thin).  He has regained weight and we are working him on the ground to help him regain his muscle tone.  We believe he will be rideable again.

Dakota is a 20 year appaloosa mare, about 15.2 hands tall.  She came in through Martin County Animal Care & Control with Duke, also with a body score of 2 (very thin).  She has regained weight and we are working her on the ground to help her regain muscle tone.  She is blind in one eye.
