Our Mission

Equine Rescue and Adoption Foundation Inc. (ERAF) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, founded in 2000, dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, retraining and adoption of at-risk equines and to fostering collaborative partnerships that facilitate horse and human connection.

We work closely with Sheriff’s Offices, and Animal Care and Control units, to identify at risk horses and remove them from dangerous environments. We work with our community to do what we can to support those that struggle to care for their horses. Our team of dedicated professionals, staff, supporters and volunteers work to rehabilitate and care for these magnificent horses so they may find their next chapter.
